METRO LOGISTICS has been known as the internal logistics service provider of the METRO Group for 25 years. Armed with a wealth of experience in retail logistics and a well-established network, the company opened its doors to the external market in 2020: From brand development to market entry campaigns, komm.passion supported the repositioning.

Recognisable as a reliable part of the METRO Group, yet perceived as independent: For market entry, komm.passion developed the brand essence of the new METRO LOGISTICS with the client. The combination of experienced group service provider and newcomer on the external market distinguishes the brand. From analysis and strategic positioning to the development of the corporate design and the corresponding measures, komm.passion supported the realignment all the way.

The jointly conceived claim ‘OUR NETWORK. YOUR SUCCESS.’ makes it clear: Even though METRO LOGISTICS is a ‘new’ market participant, its logistics networks are highly effective and promising. 25 years of experience are now available to the external market. ‘Thanks to komm.passion’s structured approach and professional project management, we have succeeded in jointly developing a brand positioning concept that accurately reflects the core of our company: OUR NETWORK. For the overall appearance, we worked closely with the sales and marketing staff. komm.passion designed a new website and created the corporate presentation used by the Sales division for a successful market launch.

Reaching decision makers

The campaign was marketed in the industry’s most relevant trade media outlets with advertisements and newsletter articles. Opening up to the external market and the company’s own logistics network were central marketing themes for customer acquisition. Exactly this story is also narrated in the image film that komm.passion produced for the website as well as sales presentations.

To reach the counterparts in the companies that plan and purchase logistics services, komm.passion assisted with the development of LinkedIn and Xing profiles aimed directly at the decision-makers.

With great success: The first larger counterparts from the companies already came forward during the launch phase, showing great interest in the services of the new METRO LOGISTICS.
